More Cycling Camp Information
General

Groups/Speeds - The camp enrollment is limited to 25 riders, so that our two instructors can give maximum individual attention. This group will be divided into two smaller groups for the rides. This division ensures that you will find a pace and skill level that suits your needs, whether you've been riding consistently all Winter or just starting to build your Spring fitness base, or even if you're new to cycling. One group will complete the full ride distance each day at an average speed of about 20 mph. The other group will have the option of doing shortened versions of the rides by using the follow vehicles for transportation when required. This group will travel at an average speed of approximately 15 mph.

Ride Support - There will be support vehicles cruising the ride routes at all times. These vehicles will have all the necessities - spare parts, tools, water and food. Huberbikes of Kailua-Kona will provide tech support for any mechanical problems on the road.

Equipment - Cyclists must bring all riding gear. Remember, a certified helmet is mandatory. Refer to the packing list for specific equipment.

Suggested Gearing - Some days will include fairly strenuous climbing. If you are quite strong and fit we suggest a 39x23 low gear, otherwise bring at least a 39x25.
